Also:
Alfred Hitchthingy intended to do a film adaptation of the novel "No Bail for the Judge". It contains a rape scene and Audrey Hepburn was objectional to the scene, even though Hitchthingy tried to convince her that she would fight back. However, when Audrey discovered that she was pregnant, Hitckthingy decided to dropped the project even though the pre-production costs $200,000. He was aware that Audrey wanted a baby very badly and had several miscarriages before. Paramount did not allow Hitchthingy to shelve the project as they did not want to spend the $200,000 for nothing. However, after Hitthingy scares the studio officers that they may lose another $3 millions if the rape scene would not pass the censor, Paramount kinda shut up. Quite an irony, considering that he fought endlessly with Paramount to do the rape scene. Apparently, he wanted to do the project only with Audrey Hepburn. It appears to me that he wanted to do the film with Audrey very badly. After the project was shelved and until he contract with Paramount ended, he talked about Audrey and the project as if it was postponed. Even after he completed "Psycho", he still talk about the possibilities of re-opening the project. What a pity. Hitthingy and Audrey could had made another classic.
