Hi! I just found this forum and I just had to join it! ;D My name is Madeleine, I'm 19 years old and I live in Sweden. I don't know much about Greta, so I can't really call myself a big fan. However, I think that she was an intresting person and I do want to know more about her. The first time I heard about her must have been when my dad found some magazines in the walls of an old house that was about to get teared down. The magazines were from the mid 30's and featured several articals about Garbo. I read them and later on named my Barbie dolls after her (hah, yeah...) Oh, and last summer I saw some of the furniture from her New York apartment at a department store in Stockholm. They were located in the basement next to the toilets btw! And I really want to se some of her movies too. But so far no luck. It's not like you can rent them And I haven't found them on the net either, kinda complicates stuff that I only want to buy from online stores located in my country Oh, well, It's nice to be here and I just wanted to say hi!

Hello Madeleine, welcome to the club. Can you view NTSC-format videos like those produced in the US? If so, I would be glad to send you a few Garbo movies I have, just for the cost of shipping. Sharing is what will save the world!
Regards, Dan

First Swede? wow! I thought it would be more of us here, I mean Greta is quite well known in Sweden! (lol!) Thank you Daniel and John for the great offer So nice of you both! Like John said I can't view the american format, that is actually another thing that make things more complicated. There are even online stores in Sweden that sells the movies in american format when it comes to old ones And I also want the movies as dvd's . My stupid video player is broken *sigh* I just discovered a film with Garbo in it on a internet store though "Grand Hotel". It's just arrived to the store and it's on DVD (hope fully they will add more!)!!! wohoo! ;D Is it any good? I would like to hear some opinions about from some true Garbo fans before I buy it! Btw, I LOVE your avatar John! ;D

Garbo musical? I don't even think I have heard about it... Another thing I've missed completely But Swedish tv tends to re run a lot of things, so It will probably come back soon. I love death becomes her! lol! Great picture I was just about to order Grand Hotel and now it's sold out! I hope they get more copies of it soon. And Ebay is a great option too.
