Merry Christmas everybody! I'm so glad that I found this board with other Garbo fans. It's nice to know that they're are people out there who understand my fascination with her. God Jul.... Joy

Garbo's sad thought about her Christmas...I read a book by Raymond Daum...218 pg..."Do you know someone sent me a Christmas tree? It's about four feet tall, doesn't smell nuttin', doesn't smell a thing. Trees only smell if you have living candles to heat them up a bit, but then you set the house on fire. You can't win these days. I didn't dress it. I just put it over there. Isn't it pretty? Well, I had some lights, so I stuck them on it. The rest will stay naked. I won't look at it----it'll stay in there and I'll stay in here. Maybe we'll look at it tomorrow, but I mustn't promise or say anything, because the minute I promise something then it never comes. I mean everything at the time, but then I always back out. I know nothing about manana. I never discuss manana. Imagine someone sending me a Christmas tree! Quite unnecessary" Garbo said!!!!!
