I wear pants most of the time, because it is also comfortable (I also like wear dresses and feel feminine)! In our days many women wear pants! But in Garbo times wearing pants was innovation or rather revolution!!!!!!!! I am so proud GG was on of the first women to wear pants!!!!!!!!!

;D I wish so....by Barry Paris--page 266-267, "When I had known Greta a little while I got her to exchange her sailor pants for slacks. Looking back it seems difficult to believe that at this time people were still shocked to see women in trousers. Once we were photographed in them on Hollywood Boulevard (and it was published with the caption): "GARBO IN PANTS! Innocent bystanders gasped in amazement to see Mercedes de Acosta and Greta Garbo striding swiftly along Hollywood Boulevard dressed in men's clothes." Considering what walks down Hollywood Boulevard now, it seems strange that Greta and I should have caused a sensation such a comparatively short time ago."

She was so much herself when she was in this "tomboy" look.

Inside herself she was far too strong to play and dress in the "femine role".I think, she felt captured and suppressed.
I belive that she always wanted to follow her father. To be like her father.
so cute...

Her father had wonderful eyelashes and deep blue eyes....GG loved her dearly father because she listened him alot and took care of him! If you look at the rooms of the inside of her gorgeous NY apartment, posted by Nico, she seems the very opposite of "masculine & tough".
