I take pride in myself that I saw half of her filmography less than a year, which is pretty impressive. So here's the list of the Garbo's films that I haven't seen.
1. Luffarpetter (Peter the Tramp) 2. Gosta Berling saga (The Saga of Gosta Berling) 3. Die Freudlose Gasse (The Joyless Street) 4. The Temptress 5. The Divine Woman (Well, I only saw one reel) 6. A Woman of Affairs 7. Wild Orchids 8. The Kiss 9. Romance 10. Susan Lenox: Her Fall and Rise 11. The Painted Veil 12. Two-Faced Woman
If you guys seen any of those titles, can you let me know your thoughts on that particular title? Would appreicated that a lot.

Dear MGM, I will try to share my impressions on some of the GG film from your list that I have seen. I've just seen Susan Lennox yesterday for the first time. I liked the movie itself! Not only enjoying GG's beauty (as I do in any her movie), but also enjoying the story itself. The events took place quite rapidly, so it wouldn't be lengthy or boring at all. Well, I do think Gable is not the better choice for Garbo partner on set, but he fits his role of Rodney. And seeing GG transformating from an inoccent youth into a "woman of the world" and then rising again... I tell it's worthy... About Romance... Well, I saw it on Saturday for the first time. This is the movie TO ENJOY GARBO'S BEAUTY most of any other things in it. She looks GREAT, WONDERFUL, ADORABLE, or any superlative you wish... The costumes are magnificent, the hairdo flatters, anything about GG is perfect in Romance... It seems like a preview to Camille, in my opinion. She sacrifices herself again for her young lover's sake. And here it comes... Her lover here is Gavin Gordon. He wasn't too impressive, I think... I still couldn't get into his acting. Maybe when I see Romance again, I will. Anyway, as GG fan, especially if you GG's beauty fan, you should see Romance! She looks different and most lovely here... The Painted Veil... I have it but haven't yet seen it fully, only some parts of it, having no time. It seems to be a good movie. When I see all of it, I'll comment it. You should see Wild Orchids!!! It's impressing!Glamorous costumes, exotic dances, Java... Wild Orchids seems to be a silent parallel to The Painted Veil. Iin both of them the married woman is pursued by another man, has doubts about her marriage, but in the end realizes that her only love is her husband... The difference is: Wild Orchids ends quite happily, she and her husband leave together. In Painted Veil she must save husband's life to be with him... It would be nice to see these two films one after another and see the similarities as well as the differences. When I see The KIss and A Woman O Affairs, I will coment them as well (soon!!!!) Hope I could help you a bit.

Hi MGM and Walewska....I like all Garbo's films except some horrible in it sometime....I watched "Susan Lenox" often that violence scene was Garbo bashes in the head of a brutish Alan Hale....Alan was drunk and tried to rape her in her poor bed! I was so horrible to see how Garbo was frightful woman.....also killed the dog by Alan Hale shot after Garbo fought with the man!!! I read a book "Walking With Garbo" by Raymond Daum....Garbo said in 1928 photoplay interview, "If I see an accident or hear two people quarreling" and "I am just sick all over. I never fight myself and I won't do any fighting in pictures." But in fact, crimes of passion, duels, and suicides over lost and unrequited love were staples of many of her pictures: In THE TEMPTRESS, Antonio Moreno is bullwhipped by his rival for her affections. Facing off in the icy woods, John Gilbert, who has already killed Garbo's husband, wounds Lars Hanson in their duel at the end of FLESH AND THE DEVIL. Sparing John Gilbert the pain of loving her, in A WOMAN OF AFFAIRS, Garbo kills herself by smashing her car into a tree. To save Lew Ayers, her young suitor in THE KISS, she shoots and kills her husband. Provoked by her abrupt departure in AS YOU DESIRE ME, Erich von Stroheim fires a gun at Garbo, grazing her arm with a bullet. Nils Asther flogs a servant in WILD ORCHIDS, and though horrified by his cruelty, Garbo falls for him anyway. As Mata Hari, she shoots Lionel Barrymore, and, true to life, faces a firing squad. Garbo was unhappy about violent/war in the movies!!! These stories were all about!!!! I enjoyed to watch her films because I like her acting!!!

Thank you, David, for sharing your thoughts with us. I really appreciated it a lot! Garbo, is what cinephile would referring as tragedienne but that's not true since she was in Ninotchka and Two-Faced Woman, which are comedies. But you can't deny her screen presence, which is just sheer amazing. Definitely one of the greatest actress and no one ever come close to her. ;D

Lot’s of the silent films I haven’t seen either. I’ve seen Die Freudlose Gasse and Goesta Berling Saga, which I think are interesting to see. Garbo just minutes away from Hollywood! The Two Faced Woman is extremely good and I watch this film often in the winter time. I don’t agree with the general view on this film; I think it is entertaining and funny. Maybe you make yourself a fresh Gin and Tonic when Melvyn goes and calls the “mountains” and finds out about the true identity of his wife. This was put in later because they couldn’t get the film through. By doing that, they destroyed the whole script and some scenes later don’t work. But as I said, if you miss this, everything is fine …… Ruth Gorden is extremely good in this as well and I think you just have to see it!

I wonder how the original MORE DAREING script was. Anyway, this film wonderfull.i enjoy it most. I think that they could have made it better. More budget, maybe color (?), Cary Grant as the male lead , maybe GG singing a song...like Rita hayworth... and so on..

Thank you, MGM!!! I love two comedies of "Ninotchka" and "Two-Faced Woman" because I laughed to help my depression going away....I love to see Garbo dancing and getting drunk sometime....Actor "M. Douglas" was good comedian guy!!! I wish Garbo sings in the opera like Birgit Nilsson's famous voice!!! OOOOOh I love music so I wish to hear but sadly...I am hearing-impaired (deaf)!!!! I will feel Garbo's beautiful husky sexy voice on the T.V. Garbo's eternal Love, D.L.

Hey, David, I'm hearing impaired, too so I'm deaf. It's nice to know that I'm not only deaf fan of The Divine Garbo. ;D I have some hearing in my right ear so I can hear some of the music in Garbo's films.
